For distributing short-life products such as fruits and vegetables, operators place goods on transport units that can dynamically change locations.

With VoiceXtreme, there’s no need to plan locations for placement; the real-time work picker will open a new location for the customer, and other operators will be directed there.

Cycle count

Host-directed, blind, or random cycle counts can be combined with the picking or final control process, and used in conjunction with location status or reason codes.

  • If the final control operator detects a shortage or excess of an article, VoiceXtreme will generate a cycle count assignment for the location from which the article was picked.
  • The nearest operator in the warehouse can then be directed to that location.

Receiving

The simplest method to verify that the picker is at the correct location is to ask them to spell out the control number from that location.

We employ a color rotation mechanism and request the picker to spell out the number associated with a specific color.

Replenishment

Transferring goods or pallets from one location to another might sound simple, right? However, when multiple articles or LOTs are involved at either location, the operation must be both straightforward and swift to ensure accuracy.

  • Operators receive instructions which pallet to take and confirm the location or LPN from the pallet.
  • They drive to the drop-off location and confirm the location or LPN where the goods will be placed.
  • They receive instructions on which items, pieces, and LOT to place on the new location/LPN.
  • Alternatively, they remove the old pallet, place a new one, and transfer the remaining goods from the old pallet to the new LPN, confirming the article, quantity, and LOT.
